Mercy on the Walls
The Good Samaritan is one of 14 windows that line the side walls of the Shrine. Each window has something in common: Each depicts a specific Gospel scene that demonstrates the mercy of God.
That's only appropriate for a Shrine dedicated to The Divine Mercy. After all, in His revelations to St. Faustina, Jesus said, "I demand from you deeds of mercy which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse yourself from it" (Diary of St. Faustina, 742). |
