Nicolas Delabarte of Miami, Fla. (second from the left in the back row) I got introduced to The Divine Mercy about a year-and-a-half ago. We have a youth ministry in Miami called CORE, which stands for Christ, Our Reason Everyday. We're young adults. This year we wanted to come to the Shrine to experience the blessings as a group. Why a devotion to Divine Mercy? I was listening to a certain excerpt of the Diary of St. Faustina on EWTN, and the message of our Lord to St. Faustina had such an impact on me. It really touched me. Divine Mercy Sunday is like getting baptized all over again. We get together every Monday night, and we read the Diary together. We have about 60 people in our group — including a newborn. |
