Prayer Answered Before the Storm
MONDAY, JAN. 26 — If you, like we here at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, live in the Northeast of the United States, you're probably preparing to get clobbered by a blizzard whose strength could exceed any on record for the region.
Areas of New England, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C., could see up to three feet or more of snow today and tomorrow.
That said, please especially keep the poor, elderly, and infirm in your prayers. Consider praying a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for them.
In the meantime, we receive dozens of emails each week from people testifying to the Lord's mercy. We figured we'd share with you two blizzard-related emails we received this morning from a Marian Helper:
I have a praise report. We were short on cash this week, and the snowstorm is coming, and we needed to go to the store before it hits. We scrounged up enough money to get a couple things, and I admit I was worried; shame on me. I watched the [Mass] online, praised the Lord, and felt so much better knowing God is in control. Afterwards, we went to the store and got some of what we need. Just got back, and just now my son called and said, "Do you need anything? Tell me what you need." He's bringing over what I wasn't able to get at the store. PRAISE THE LORD for thoughtful children and HIS constant provision! God is so awesome! Praise His Holy Name!! God is able and faithful. God bless.
Jaynne followed up her email with the following:
This is unreal. My other son just came in and gave me $160 in groceries! This has been the most unbelievable day! God is so good and is the great Provider! AMEN!! The interesting thing is, neither of the kids knew we needed food. God is so able and faithful. Don't ever doubt His goodness or faithfulness!! God bless.
