Who Was St. Francis de Sales?

We celebrate the Feast of St. Francis de Sales on Jan. 24.

Bishop of Geneva, Doctor of the Universal Church, and patron saint of journalists, St. Francis de Sales (1567-1622) was a unique instrument of God during the Counter-Reformation. He discovered he had a talent, and he used it for the service of God and the salvation of souls.
