Weekend Receptionist

General Description: The Weekend Receptionist serves as a representative of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception by hosting the Shrine Receptionist area in a professional, hospitable manner as directed by the Rector. Performs additional duties as requested.

The successful candidate will receive pilgrims and phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. In addition, the Receptionist responds to Shrine email correspondence, contacts priests to provide special assistance to pilgrims and overall keeps the Shrine reception area running smoothly for staff and pilgrims alike. Finally, the Receptionist maintains, records and reports financial transactions related to Mass requests and donations for Mass offerings by check, cash and credit card.

Hours: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays and able to shift to working weekdays to provide coverage for weekday receptionist when absent.

Experience: Background in service to pilgrims and a general understanding of the Roman Catholic faith.

Strong communication skills and the demonstration of hospitality.

High regard for professional etiquette and hospitable demeanor.

Highly organized, ability to multi-task and effectively make decisions and judgments relating to assigned responsibilities and projects.

Intermediate computer skills.

Basic Accounting Skills.
