"Fr. Papczynski healed my eye"

Letters of thanks for prayers answered by holy Marians

Breast surgery unnecessary

On Friday, April 6, I was scheduled for surgery to do a biopsy of a density in my right breast. The radiologist took another mammogram and sonogram before the surgery.

After comparing the x-rays to the previous ones, the technician and the surgeon conferred for a while, which seemed like an eternity, and then gave me the good news that no surgery was necessary. Only a small sebaceous cyst was removed that day, which was benign and had no relation to the original proposed surgery.

I had been asking for the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Stanislaus Papczynski for days before my surgery and still am. I promised to write about this. Thanks be to God.

"I was able to see out of both eyes!"

Father Stanislaus Papczynski answered my prayers. I had experienced a severe problem with my right eye virtually overnight after being in good health.

After several medical specialists had examined my eye and conducted tests, I was still given no explanation of how it came about and when I could expect it to go away. I had to be patient about the problem, but it was hard since I provide not only moral but monetary support for my family.

One evening, while trying to calm down, I reached for my mail. The Summer 2001 issue of Marian Helper had arrived. Prior to bed, I began to read the articles. The one on St. Faustina was fascinating. I put the magazine down, so as not to strain the one eye I was relying on, and went to bed.

The next evening, prior to bed, I picked up the magazine again. Only this time, I was mesmerized by the "Graces Received" page, and I asked Fr. Papczynski to intercede for me. With tears flowing down from my eyes, I begged Fr. Papczynski to intercede and held up his picture on the page over my bad eye. I felt calm and went to bed.

The following morning, I awoke and was able to see out of both eyes! The right was still somewhat weak, but I was able to see out of it. I fell to my knees and thanked the Venerable Servant of God. I believe that he interceded for me.

I continue to pray to him several times a day and honor him. I will continue to honor him until the Good Lord calls me.

I phoned your 1-800 orderline and requested the prayercards of Fr. Papczynski and have given them out to my family. We are all currently supporting his beatification.

Father Papczynski healed my eye and let me know that this was a wake-up call for me to slow down. My family and I come first. My job comes last.

"My health began to improve very fast"

I was ill and unable to work, suffering from many different ailments. A medical examination brought bad news. Doctors predicted a long period of treatments, also involving a hospital stay.

My husband, however, would not hear about any treatments and became very rude to me. Meanwhile, my illness continued for two years and was getting worse. I found myself in a hopeless situation.

I thought of stopping the sporadic treatments altogether. My future seemed unclear. My husband was very angry with me and did not want to pay for the medicine. He was still treating me badly.

Being completely resigned to my plight, I went to church. I think that it was December 8 -- the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. After Mass, I was still sitting in the church, feeling very ill and tired, and thinking of my future.

Suddenly, I noticed a prayercard in the pew. It included a novena prayer to the Venerable Servant of God, Stanislaus Papczynski.

With hope and trust, I began to pray this novena -- first at the church, and then at home. And everything started to change for the better. First, peace and trust in the Lord came to me. I found that I was not nervous or desperate anymore.

Then my health began to improve very fast. Finally, the tests showed good results. Gradually, even my husband changed.

I became even more faithful and trusting in the Lord. Now I often turn to Fr. Stanislaus for intercession with many different needs.
