I loved Father's explanation of these symbols of Easter! What a wonderful way to guide your children past the colored eggs, candy, and bunnies, and to an understanding of how they relate to Jesus and the Church. Children love fairy tales like the Easter Bunny and Santa. Why not use these "fairy tales" as tools to help them also learn to love Jesus and the Catholic Church!

I am sad to see this story on web site. The Easter Bunny is a made up fairy tale. Most people are not comparing the Easter bunny to Jesus resurrection. When we choose to tell our children fairy tales and later when their older have to tell them the Easter bunny is not real, they may believe Jesus is not real either.Same for fake Santa Claus fairy tale.Saint Nicholas was a Bishop! Tell only the truth about Catholic Faith, Catholic Faith is not a game.No Bunny in my yard or home! We can still eat candy and sweets to celebrate Resurrection Day, after we go to Holy Easter Mass.

Always good to hear from the wit and wisdom of Fr. Cambra. God bless you my friend.

Thank you, Father. You are so sweet! Your knowledge of the Easter traditions helped me to feel more at ease in displaying my Easter bunny and Easter Egg wreath, next to my garden flag of Jesus's Easter Cross and triumph.

What a genuine and loving priest and such a wonderful explanation of the Easter bunny and the other traditions.
