The Marian presence in Vietnam began with the arrival of Fr. Bogusław Gil MIC to Saigon called since 1975 Ho Chi Minh City on September 8, 2015. After learning the Vietnamese language Fr. Bogusław started the vocational work with the group of the Vietnamese students whom he taught English and a one year after his arrival to Saigon, on September 8, 2016, the first 4 candidates were accepted to the Marian Formation House founded by the decree of the Superior General from the end of 2016. Actually there are 8 young students in the MIC Formation House in Saigon. The four of them are already the postulants preparing for the Noviciate. Other four younger candidates have been admitted to the MIC Formation Community as the aspirants learning English and completing their education. Fr. Bogusław is responsible for their formation and the vocational work with the new candidates. For this work it is important to visit many different parishes in whole Vietnam in order to preach and introduce the Congregation.

Since 2018 there are two other Marian priests who join MIC mission in Saigon. There is Fr. Emil Gallo MIC who arrived on March 8 and Fr. Bill Hayward MIC who came on July 12. Fr. Emil helps in different activities of the formation process of the candidates. Fr. Bill is a main English teacher for the postulants. He also teaches English outside of the Formation House.
