Who Was St. Odilo of Cluny?
Saint Odilo of Cluny (c. 962-1049) was the French Benedictine abbot who established All Souls Day (Nov. 2), when the Church commemorates all the faithful departed who are undergoing purification in purgatory for their sins.
We are then invited to remember these souls throughout the month of November, mindful that they cannot help themselves.
For us, the faithful on earth, the most important aspect of this work of mercy for the Holy Souls is our ability to help release them from purgatory by having Masses said for their intention as well as through offering personal prayers and sacrifices on their behalf.

Hello Father Dan! I want to thank you for being a priest and for being a Marian as well. Our blessed Mother is very important in all of our lives as she helps us get our prayers to her son answered . Please stay warm this winter and know that we love you.
